Homemade Guacamole Recipe

Mama Z's Homemade Guacamole
I may not be Latino, but you'd never guess after you try my AUTHENTIC homemade guacamole. Try it today to see what I mean!
  • 3 Haas avocados, halved, seeded and peeled
  • 1 lime, juiced AND 2-3 drops lime essential oil or more to taste
  • ½ teaspoon pink Himalayan sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ medium onion, diced
  • ½ jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro AND 1-2 drops coriander or cilantro essential oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  1. In a large bowl or
  2. Cuisinart food processor/Blender place the scooped avocado pulp and lime juice AND lime essential oil.
  3. Mash with potato masher or pulse with the Cuisinart Food Processor/Blender and add sea salt, cumin, and cayenne and mash or pulse again.
  4. Then put in the onions, jalapeno, tomatoes, cilantro, coriander essential oil, and garlic.
  5. Add additional lime essential oil if desired to taste.
  6. Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour and then serve.

    Which brand essential oils are good to use? Some are cheap and I worry they may be synthetically safe, such as SafeOil brands, or are they ok?

    I’ve tried something really similar and it was delicious. I’m a 20-year user of essential oils, but when it comes to the oils like lime, cumin, cilantro,etc, I prefer the lime juice, or real cilantro. The only time I use the oils like lime or lemon is if I don’t have a lime or lemon in the house, then very careful about only using a drop of oil at a time, otherwise you can easily over power.

      I love to use Essential Oils in the kitchen but instead of a full drop, I use a toothpick and swirl it around in the food that way you’re not getting too much of it.
