Mama Z’s Red-Green Superfood Smoothie

Red Green Superfood Smoothie Recipe

Ready to get your green on? This superfood smoothie recipe may be bright red thanks to the beet, but it uses Dr. Z’s Super Greens Powder, plus some amazing anti-oxidant rich fresh fruits, veggies, and seeds. The banana and avocado lend a smooth texture, and if you want the smoothie cold and refreshing, you can use frozen ingredients! Throw it all in your Vitamix and you’ll have a super-healthy meal on the go.

I have a Ninja IQ. It is awesome. Ninja blender not so much. But the IQ version blends everything smooth. Way cheaper too!!

What, may I ask, do you recommend as an alternative to the Vitamix? Thank you.

Really, any good blender that can handle whole fruits and veggies. We have found the Vitamix the only one to handle what need (making smoothies with whole lemons and cabbage and other hard foods)

I use the Nutribullet Pro 900 Watt (it’s their middle of the line model.) It really packs a punch for much less than a Vitamix! It liquifies greens without an issue and I got mine for about $100 on sale at Kohl’s. While the Vitamix is certainly the gold standard, I can’t afford one but have been pleased with the results of the Nutribullet.
