Carrier Oils

No matter what preferences or allergies you may have, there's a carrier oil that's right for you. You can use any, or a combination of these:

Argan oil– rich in Vitamin E and has a high fatty acid content, making it an excellent moisturizer and skin softener. It also doesn’t have the same greasy feel and quickly absorbs into your skin. Argan oil may also be effective in treating dry, itchy skin. Argan oil makes an excellent treatment for beard itch and beard dandruff which keeps the skin beneath your beard moist and healthy prevents it from drying out and flaking.

Jojoba oil–  has many properties that make it valuable as a conditioner for the beard such as  conditions and softens both the facial skin and the facial hair. Jojoba is non-allergenic so it will not block pores and shouldn’t cause skin irritation. It is also known to strengthen the hair shaft and clean the hair follicle, so very important if you’re trying to grow and keep a long beard healthy.

Sweet Almond oil–  one of the most popular beard oils out there, sweet almond is known for the invigorating effect. It is amazing in softening and conditioning all that facial hair.  Sweet almond oil has hydrating and massage therapy benefits, it can help prevent and rid your skin of both itches as well as irritating dry skin.

Coconut oil–  Applying the coconut oil across the length of your beard provides hydration to skin and beard. When you massage your face with coconut oil you will keep your face and the roots of your beard hydrated and rebalance its natural moisture. It also cleans your face with its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. Coconut oil has been proven to prevent hair damage while also promote hair growth.

Safety & Drug Interactions

Are you sure you're using essential oils safely and effectively? Are you confused by dilutions and conversions?

Let me help you by taking out the guesswork. Download my FREE dilution chart guide HERE!

When it comes to drug interactions and contraindications, there are literally textbooks devoted to the study of essential oil safety and, as a trained researcher and doctor, I think it’s important to note that there is virtually no research out there discussing how essential oils interact with drugs in long-term human clinical trials. This means that essential oil safety is still a wild frontier in the science community and no one really knows (for certain) how essential oils will interact with drugs or your body.

Nonetheless, properly diluting your essential oils is fundamental to safety and effectiveness because they are highly concentrated plant compounds. To help you along your journey, I have a created an easy-to-use dilution guide that you can download for FREE to make sure that all of your topical applications are safe and effective for the entire family.
