The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

Proverbs 28:1

Being “bold as a lion,” has much more to do with the attitude of your heart than it does with your actions. One of the Biblical secrets to operating in this mindset is walking in the confidence that your righteousness is not yours to brag about, it comes from God!

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)P

But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.” (Romans 3:21-22)

By knowing that we are right with God through Christ, our lives take on a different meaning, don't they? I have particularly been empowered to walk in the Spirit and boldly…

Refuse to:

  • Cower in the face of opposition.
  • Compromise integrity when challenges arise.
  • Forego faith when criticized or even threatened.

Commit to:

  • Share Christ with those who don't know Him.
  • Do what's right in God's sight, regardless of what people may say.
  • Walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh.

As God's wonderful design has become a reality for me, I have discovered that walking in the Spirit (manifesting the righteousness of God) actually emboldens me. It's only when I walk in flesh (manifesting the old nature that I had before I met Christ), that I have the tendency to become timid and weak.

Oh, the manifold wisdom of God!

Choose this day to follow after Him and enjoy the authority that you have as sons and daughters of the Most High!
